I hope this finds you well enough. Since being told about Cooks by a friend (who is much older than myself) Ive wondered why there has been such a disservice to his legacy by tying him to someone like Malcolm X… whom Cooks loosely influenced. Carlos Cooks should not be the “guy who brought Malcolm to the world” or just some other Garveyite. It should say a lot of us as a race if we do not see the immense value in the life and times of Mr. Cooks… it is a pathetic show of ignorance on us, frankly. We should implement his wisdom.
